the journey within the Journey

So in life, there's things and/or people that cross your path.. they might be fleeting, they might be fast.
If you interact with those things, if you don't interact with those things, learn from them.

watch them perhaps and study them. see what it is they do or don't do. decide if it's something you place faith in. the benefit of this closer study is possibly taking a lesson, and perhaps not having to learn something "the hard way." In order to experience everything on this planet we'd need hundreds, maybe thousands, of lifetimes to work with. We can avoid obstacles on our path by studying somebody or something that is doing something(anything), perhaps they'll show us that lesson, perhaps they won't. Perhaps we'll learn the lesson, perhaps we won't.
.But be observant and aware of situations.

And then, there are things or people that are a part of your path.
People or things that don't simply cross your path and are gone.
They may walk beside you, or fly above you, or hide/sit/bide their time in your "pocket."

Perhaps these are those things which we should love the most. They've proven the test of time, by being at your side.

(by the way, just a thought; saying something and having it be wrong is absolutely alright. If you say something wrong, the person or persons or whoever will know either instantaneously that you're wrong and will correct you OR the famous teacher, Time, will correct you.)

We learn by doing. The more we do, the more we learn. The more we do, the more mistakes we make. The more mistakes we make, the more opportunities there are to LEARN from our mistakes. And on the other side of the coin, the more we do, the more opportunities we have to make the right decisions.

If you don't take care of something, it will die.
Take care of those things which you love, nurture them. Water them like you would water plants.
Care for them of course but not too much. Even too much water will kill plants.

"Getting there is half the fun."
The other half? Making it.

Bomb album.

I'm late with this one But still great.

Have made a decision!
(with a little help from my friends) .......

Stay out of my head as much as possible. Why? Because the future is going to come, whether I want it to or not. The future is always going to become the present. Always

So why worry?
Why indeed? Why stress out the mind and body, why make the heart pump faster, why make my eyes zone, why make my eyes try to see between the molecules of a chair or the floor or the ceiling or water or anything that my eyes happen to focus on when I plunge dangerously into that pool of thought. That deep pool where the thin spine of light at the bottom of the pool grows ever larger the closer you swim, and then without warning, shrinks away. Sometimes it shrinks when you're close by, sometimes it never shrinks because it never grows which means you never get closer. (if light is salvation, the answer, the solution)

Instead ...

I'll live my life, happy. worry free

now, the question that I'm not going to think about is

how will I stay out of my head?
what will I do to stay out of my head?

Not think, but do.

Do, Do, Do.

The time is now. Now. NOW. now. now. Now. NoW. nOw. NOW. now.

now I'll go do. and do and do.

Will, lost in a sea of trouble
Archilochos
translated by Kenneth Rexroth

Will, lost in a sea of trouble,
Rise, save yourself from the whirlpool
Of the enemies of willing.
Courage exposes ambushes.
Steadfastness destroys enemies.
Keep your victories hidden.
Do not sulk over defeat.
Accept good. Bend before evil.
Learn the rhythm which binds all men.

mad, insane belief.

Through the hard times. Sometimes, that's what it takes.

... Learned that from Jim Carrey.
An incredible interview. I'll leave it at that.

The first try might not work.

Learned that from a fly in the park. (trying to shoo it away)

If you don't take care of something, It will die.

Learned that from plants in the backyard.

DAVE MATTHEWS BAND- PIG

A song I've listened to over the years but has recently crept back into my day-to-day.
For me it holds many memories (RIP Chris Morawetz) and is also a reminder for the future, near and long-term.

Today I'm awake and that is something to be thankful for. My life isn't short of things to be thankful for, must take the time today and regularly to be thankful.

To whom? To whom, indeed? God, of course. I grew up Catholic. I remember times during mass that made me feel different than I did normally. Examples? Goosebumps on my arms, Belief in my head.

In an attempt to correct a problem I've convinced myself I have, I'm keeping this blog as long as I need to. Will it be useful? Maybe, maybe not. I hope to see gaps in my thoughts and personality and hopefully the right way to fill them.

Had written something in this space. Decided to erase it.
